This post is a little different from what I normally do on my blog. Thank you Mehek from The Critiques of a Fangirl for tagging me!
Before we start, here are the rules of the tag:
π Answer all prompts.
π Answer honestly.
π Tag 1-13 people.
π Link back to this post.
π Remember to credit the creator (Anthony @ Keep Reading Forward).
π Have fun!
Now that the rules are out of the way, let’s go!
Witch: A magical character or book
I read a lot of fantasy books with different magic systems, so it’s hard to pick just one. Hmm… I’m going to go with Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas.
Werewolf: The perfect book to read at night
I actually really liked reading White Fox by Sara Faring at night. Nighttime pairs perfectly with the suspense and mystery in this book.
Frankenstein: A book that truly shocks you
I was actually surprised with how much I liked The Selection. I’m not a fan of watching The Bachelor, and a lot of people described The Selection to me as similar to a royal version of The Bachelor. I can’t really argue against that description though… it’s pretty accurate if you are avoiding spoilers.
The Devil: A dark or evil character
I’m typing this while facing my bookshelves, and my eyes immediately went to my copy of Fairest by Marissa Meyer. Levana is evil!
Grim Reaper: A character that never should have died
TOO MANY!!! SO MANY!!! Also, this dangerously moves into spoiler territory, which I try to avoid on my blog. I’ll just let your imaginative minds think of all the possibilities of what my answer could be.
Zombie: A book that made you hungry for more
Wicked Saints had me trying to figure out so many things, and I still need to finish the series! That ending! *cries* Oh, also Caraval! I’m very curious about the mysterious Legend.
Gargoyle: A character that you would protect at all cost
There are so many cinnamon rolls out there – Wylan, Winter, Nico…
Vampire: A book that sucked the life out of you
As much as I loved Twilight during my preteen years, New Moon was really hard to get through. I haven’t read the books in over 10 years though, so I honestly am not sure how I would react to the series now.
Ghost: A book that still haunts you
Ok, hear me out! Shine doesn’t haunt me in a bad way. It was actually not a bad read at all! There were just certain events that happened in the book that I wasn’t expecting, so I’ve been thinking about the book a lot. In that sense, it “haunts” me. (shamelessly inserting a link to my review of Shine here)
Demon: A book that really scared you
I actually don’t read scary books. The only book I can think of is a scary stories book a friend in elementary school brought to class. It was a collection of short scary stories that younger me hated listening to. This was years ago though, so I don’t remember the title. I think it had a creepy clown head on the cover?
Skeleton: A character you have a bone to pick with
I’m looking at you, Chaol from Queen of Shadows. We need to sit down and talk about judging people without hearing the full story.
Mummy: A book you would preserve throughout time
Can I just somehow keep all my precious books safe and preserved? I get protective over them. *sigh* If I have to choose one (or two) right now, I would preserve Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom.
Creepy Doll: A cover too scary to look at
I’m currently blanking on any scary covers I have seen. I guess the “creepy clown head” book I mentioned under the Demon prompt? I remember being terrified of it when I was younger.
The Monster Mash – It’s fun to be with friends on Halloween! Tag some friends!
So, I’m cheating! Since it’s already the end of October, I don’t want to put pressure on anyone to complete this tag. If you want to give it a try, consider yourself tagged! If not, don’t worry about it.
Until next time, happy reading! β‘
Loved reading your answers!
I totally agree Chaol needs a punch in the face before an actual talk
I still need to read stars above and fairest π
Have a great day and happy reading π

After reading Tower of Dawn, I liked Chaol a little more but yeah he definitely wasn’t a favorite. π Fairest was interesting since it’s Levana’s pov, and Stars Above was fun to read. I hope you can read them soon. Happy reading to you too! π
