And if you are anything like me, you tend to steer clear of the horror side of Halloween. Don’t get me wrong! I absolutely love vampires, werewolves, and witches…just not to the point of losing sleep because a shadow – shaped slightly like the figure of a person – is now moving across my bedroom and reminds me of the killer or monster that I just read about (or watched on tv). Luckily, there are still lots of Halloween-worthy reads that are perfect for the season while not diving too far into the horror/thriller genre.
As I eagerly await the release of Marissa Meyer’s Supernova, I am participating in the Prepare for the Supernova Readalong hosted by Fierce Reads. This week I started rereading Renegades, the first book in the superhero trilogy. Without any major spoilers, I thought I would share some of my thoughts and reactions as I reread.
New York City. The City that Never Sleeps. The Big Apple.
Last year (June 2018) I was finally able to cross New York off my travel bucketlist. I saw the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, The Book of Mormon (Broadway!!!), and so much more. As a book nerd, however, I had to “bookify” my trip a little.
I am back in classes starting tomorrow, which means I will have less time to read than I did these past few months. Although I did not get to all the books on my summer TBR list, I did finish 18 books in total (not including my current read).
I have a little surprise for the June playlist. *drumroll* Presenting… the first monthly bookish playlist by me!
Although this is not the first playlist I have created, this is the first one I am sharing on my blog. I usually like to add more songs to my lists as I find them, so you may or may not see changes to the playlist in the future.
With the end of the school-year and warmer weather just around the corner, my TBR book pile is calling my name. Aside from wanting to finish the Throne of Glass series, there are so many cute YA Romance novels I want to read.
