Rebuilding the Forest! – #PondathonII Begins

This post is super late, but I’m excited to be participating in this year’s Pondathon!

Some of you may remember that I used the first Pondathon in 2019 as a fun way to motivate myself to read during my school semester. When I found out about Pondathon II, I was more than happy to join in the fun again!

What is the Pondathon?

Pondathon II is a story-driven and gardening-themed readathon hosted and run by CW from The Quiet Pond. Continuing the story from the first Pondathon, the goal of this readathon is to read books to earn plants and decorate your own little garden so that we can restore the forest together. But don’t worry if you missed the first Pondathon! You can still join the fun this year. Check out more information about the readathon here.

Things to note:

You get to create your own Pond animal character for the Pondathon, and create your own character card!
The readathon started on January 10, 2022 and ends on December 11, 2022 (NZT). Sign-ups will stay open during the readathon, so you can still join in the middle of the year. You can find the sign-up form and more on character creation here.
Side quests and ‘Companion Quests’ are fun, but completely optional. Don’t feel pressured to complete them all!

My Pond Character

Meet Luna, my Pond character for this year’s Pondathon!
Luna loves eating sweets as much as she loves reading books. She is a kind and loyal friend who is always there for her loved ones. Although she’s not great at gardening, Luna is ready to join her friends and help heal the forest!
