Thursday, October 24 will mark the end of the readalong portion of Fierce Reads’ Prepare for the Supernova events. Although I wasn’t able to keep entirely on schedule, it was fun connecting with other fans and talking about theories for the last book in the trilogy.

Five Non-Scary YA Halloween Reads

Halloween is coming!

And if you are anything like me, you tend to steer clear of the horror side of Halloween. Don’t get me wrong! I absolutely love vampires, werewolves, and witches…just not to the point of losing sleep because a shadow – shaped slightly like the figure of a person – is now moving across my bedroom and reminds me of the killer or monster that I just read about (or watched on tv). Luckily, there are still lots of Halloween-worthy reads that are perfect for the season while not diving too far into the horror/thriller genre.

The Bookish Travel Guide: New York City

New York City. The City that Never Sleeps. The Big Apple.

Last year (June 2018) I was finally able to cross New York off my travel bucketlist. I saw the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, The Book of Mormon (Broadway!!!), and so much more. As a book nerd, however, I had to “bookify” my trip a little.
