Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of this blog coming into existence. The crazy part is that it doesn’t feel like it’s been a year. Sometimes I feel like I’ve always had this blog, but then there are times where I’m reminded how new blogging is to me.

Sophie wants one thing for Christmas-a little freedom from her overprotective parents. So when they decide to spend Christmas in South Louisiana with her very pregnant older sister, Sophie is looking forward to some much needed private (read: make-out) time with her long-term boyfriend, Griffin. Halloween is coming!
And if you are anything like me, you tend to steer clear of the horror side of Halloween. Don’t get me wrong! I absolutely love vampires, werewolves, and witches…just not to the point of losing sleep because a shadow – shaped slightly like the figure of a person – is now moving across my bedroom and reminds me of the killer or monster that I just read about (or watched on tv). Luckily, there are still lots of Halloween-worthy reads that are perfect for the season while not diving too far into the horror/thriller genre.
